Obama FP adviser Samantha Power resigns
It was reported today that Samantha Power a senior adviser to Barak Obama would resign from the campaign after making ascerbic comments on Hillary Clinton:
Power, who is in the UK promoting a book, told The Scotsman: “”We fucked up in Ohio. In Ohio, they are obsessed and Hillary is going to town on it, because she knows Ohio’s the only place they can win. She is a monster, too – that is off the record – she is stooping to anything.”
Power has been very controversial on the left of the Democrats for her Clintonesque advocacy of power politics in foreign policy: projecting U.S. military force under humanitarian justfications.
For an introduction to these objections, please see “Calibrating” HOPE in the Effort to “Patrol the Commons”: Samantha Power and the Hidden Imperial Reality of Barack Obama” published February 26, 2008 By Paul Street on the Z Magazine blog.
“Expectation calibration and expectation management is essential at home
and internationally.” – Harvard Professor and Barack Obama Foreign Policy Advisor Samantha Power, February 21, 2008

Samantha Power’s remark about Hillary Clinton illustrates that Obama now has no option but to “go negative” on Hillary Clinton.
Not only must he show he can take a punch, he must show he can throw one.
